Koro is a Japanese Dine-In or Takeout Restaurant located in East Boston that utilized our hospitality and restaurant experience as well as the knowledge of the East Boston market.
The Challenge
Koro was a project that we took from the very beginning. This business started with only the vision of Sushi and Ramen. Our creative team got to work on fully branding and designing the space to open Spring 2025.
Koro needed a distinct and recognizable online identity to stand out in a competitive dining scene as a new space.
The brand and interior consult had the challenge was imagining an entire brand and executing a tone of voice down to each dish on the menu. The challenge was not only developing a brand from the start but also a roll out plan to introduce the space properly to the market.
The Work
The Graphic Design and Website!
The logo colors are inspired by natural elements of a Japanese sunset. The brand colors are representative of soy, wasabi and other elements of earth that align with the culture.
As a takeout spot, the most important element besides the quality, look and feel and branding was — the ease of ordering!
We worked thoroughly to allow customers to effortlessly order food, see all ordering options and view the menu. Through strategic advertising and branding efforts, we informed Koro’s identity to the neighborhood resulting in organic followers, higher online engagement, and a cohesive brand roll out.
And now… onto the Interior!
The space had to feel simple enough for takeout but also comfortable enough for someone to want to dine in. Our team made sure to divide both spaces with flow and to make sure that the interior felt elevated at the same time as it feeling casual.
We chose simplicity as the main focus of this space and integrated pops of our brand color whenever it felt necessary.
